Travelodge Inverness

This hotel is everything good about the Travelodge brand and everything you'd expect. However, its claimed "accessible" room was utterly lacking. I'll expand on this in the extra details but suffice to say there is no way I would have classed my room as accessible. It was large and spacious enough to manoeuvre my wheelchair around but, as well as the major problems with the bathroom, the bed was far too low for easy transfer on and off. The pluses are that, other than that, it's exactly what you want from a Travelodge. It's quiet, basic and clean, in a great position close to a great pub/restaurant and the amenities of the nearby retail park. There's no attached restaurant but there is a vending machine for snacks and cold drinks and, obviously, coffee/tea making facilities in the room which can be topped up from a tray in the reception area. The room has a Freeview TV. One niggle was the lack of plug sockets by the bed. Overall, I would be happy to use this Travelodge again. The accessibility issues were not insurmountable, just extremely disappointing in this day and age.

Stopover to visit Culloden , and use up a Travelodge Voucher. Great nights sleep in clean, accessible accommodation , handy to see local sights. Pub and restaurant close by . Only downfall is that the only breakfast available is a cold grab and go one, but we stopped somewhere on the way home

Travelodge sells some rooms as accessible. They aren’t. These rooms have a double bed plus a fold out bed, suitable for a child but not great as a second bed. The bathrooms have a low edge bath with shower over. This isn’t ‘accessible’ in any sense that I understand the word. Very cross as I’d checked it was a proper twin accessible room with staff by telephone prior to booking. Basically, they lied.
