Trevase Granary, a long standing 5 Stars Gold award winner, is a luxury barn conversion providing luxury self-catering holiday cottage accommodation for up to eighteen guests in 8 en-suite bedrooms. Facilities include state-of-the art Cinema Room, separate Games Room with hydrotherapy jacuzzi hot tub, Bar area and fully equipped kitchen. Beautifully located on a working farm in rural Herefordshire, just five miles from Ross-on-Wye, it offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

Lovely venue for self catering holiday

Trevase Granary is a great place for a holiday with a disabled person. Our family goes there every summer with our children and grandchildren and the fact that my husband is wheelchair bound following a stroke doesn’t stop him being included. A spacious ground floor bedroom with TV has a large wet room attached and there’s a stair lift to take him upstairs to the living and dining area. On fine days he can be wheeled over to the games room and garden. We’ve had some memorable barbecues there, and afterwards enjoyed watching the children play on the lawn or entertain us with a holiday pop group in the games room. The owners couldn’t be more helpful. They lend us small equipment such as a commode chair and toilet surround and help us to find firms that hire out care beds, riser recliner chairs and also a home care service which means that my husband is as comfortable as he is at home and looking after him is as easy as possible. We look forward very much to our family get together where grandpa, despite his disabilities, can still be at the centre of the family.

Disabled Access at Trevase Granary

The front door is 100 cm wide and has a step 4 c.m. deep into the front hall. At the narrowest point of the hall its width is 100cm wide. The passages are all level with a slate flooring leading off to five bedrooms. All of the doorways are 80cm wide. The oak stairs has a stannah type lift to the first floor.

Accessible parking at Trevase Granary

The Car Park is full tarmac and is level, with space for around 12 cars. The Car Park lighting at night is by remote sensors that come on automatically. The lighting all the way to the front door of The Granary is automatically sensor controlled. The entrance to the Courtyard has a gate and is level paving stones to the front door, which is 30 yards from the car parking.

Toilets features at Trevase Granary

The bedroom called the Cider Room is suitable for a less able guest. There is a call pull switch system at the toilet and bed, connected to the dining room upstairs. The large wet room has a power shower, and there is a plastic stool to use in the shower. There is grab rails in the shower room in the positions, which were deemed suitable by the Assessor. There is specialist non-slip flooring. The bedroom is carpeted.
