Overall Rating

Good

Quiet gardens with views over the river. Accessible only if you can manage gravel, grass, slopes and uneven terrain.

Disabled Access In and Around

Average

Unfortunately the paths have not been fully maintained beyond the entrance area. Paved slope to toilets and reception. Automatic opening door, button on entry auto open on exit. Low reception desk, carers go free. Access to glasshouse through double glass doors requires assistance. Threshold then paving, slick when wet and hoses out so be careful. Access to some areas over grass with up to 2inch edge to go over. Paths are mainly loose gravel, some slopes and uneven ground. If you can't go on grass (eg wet, muddy) then you miss a few areas. Plenty of benches around gardens.

Parking & Transport

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

Two small EV spaces (not suitable for a WAV unless rear entry) Three disabled parking spaces, one of which only had hatching marks on one side, nothing to rear but plenty space to lower ramp.

Accessible facilities: Electric Vehicle Charging, Dedicated on-site parking

Accessible Toilets

Good

I found door heavy and needed assistance. It opens outwards. Large toilet with rails, baby changing table, space for wheelchair plus carer.

Additional Information

I suggest going on a day when you know ground is dry, that way you can explore the grass and stepping stone areas off the path.
