Overall Rating
Excellent
Vapiano is one of my favourite places to get food in Central London, some of my favourites are very close to key accessible Tube stations. It’s always got good food which you can order directly from your phone via a QR code and everything is taken care of digitally. Staff seat you with paper menus and are always on hand should you need any assistance with the menu or ordering. I really enjoy the selection of food available and the ones I’ve been to always have good height seating and tables and an accessible toilet.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
The main entrance had a large door that opened inward. The door had a button on both the inside and outside which opened the door automatically. There was a very tiny lip over the threshold of the door. Just inside the entrance there is a stand where you wait until a staff member can seat you. There are lots of paper menus available to look at on this stand. There were lots of different types of seating available at this location, some bar height at the windows, some communal bench style seats, and more traditional tables and chairs that could be moved as needed. The staff offered me some options and let me pick which table I felt most comfortable at. They also had three different heights of highchairs for the different table heights. On all the tables there are QR codes and this provides you with a full menu and the ability to order and pay for your food. The food is then brought to the table by staff when it is ready. The food comes once it’s ready, so if you order with other people, your food will likely come at different times. Staff will seat you with a paper menu so you can look at the physical menu or the digital one on your phone. Staff are also available to take your order in person if this is more suitable than ordering via your own device.

Parking & Transport
Average
I travelled to this place by walk or wheel
This location is right next to Paddington station so there is no dedicated parking. Being right next to the station, it is very close to all the services available from Paddington Railway Station. Including overground services to Heathrow, Newbury, Bristol Temple Meads, Cardiff Central, Cheltenham Spa, Exeter St Davids, Oxford, Plymouth, and Didcot Parkway. And Underground services on the Bakerloo, Elizabeth, Circle, District, and Hammersmith and City lines. Step-free access is only available for the Bakerloo, Elizabeth, Circle and Hammersmith and City lines.
Accessible Toilets
Good
There was an accessible toilet located at the rear of the restaurant. It had a simple door handle and the door opened outwards. The door had very little weight on it so it was easy to open and easy to close from the inside as there was a grab rail on the inside. The toilet had space for a left-side transfer with a grab rail that could be raised and lowered next to the toilet. The toilet had a lid and an exposed cistern that could provide some back support. In front of the toilet was a small sink with a grab rail on either side of it. The tap was manually operated, and twisting the tap controlled both the temperature and flow of the water. Above the sink was a manual soap dispenser and a paper towel dispenser. Next to the sink was a baby-change table that could be folded down from the wall. Opposite the sink was a tall mirror. A red emergency cord hung freely to the floor in between the toilet and sink.

Staff
Excellent
The staff were really lovely here. I was given a choice of tables and could choose which spot I was most comfortable with. They moved and furniture that needed moving and checked in to make sure we were all okay ordering via the QR code.
