    Interesting

I visited on a sunny Saturday and it was very busy. It's free for disabled visitors (£5 for the Diamond Jubilee Gallery which is accessible via a lift). There are parts of the Abbey which are inaccessible to wheelchair users because of steps (the main one being the Lady Chapel). The floor is uneven in places. The free audio/visual guide is very good and a must-have for interested visitors.

Magnificent and Very Accessible - Visit on Disabled Access Day

Westminster Abbey is famous for being the venue for coronations and royal weddings. The Abbey has worked hard in recent years to improve access. This review is specifically about my visit on Disabled Access Day 2019 and attending a special Disabled Access Day Guided Tour, which focused on disabled people buried or commemorated at the Abbey.

    Westminster Abbey

We were given a Christmas present of a visit to the Abbey by my daughter, Kate. She arranged it all. She got in touch with the Abbey, parking was arranged at the front using blue badge, we were allowed to jump the queue as organised, meal was booked for 1PM. We managed to see the Abbey, the museum. After the meal we went to Evensong & were seated at the front. Abbey was laid out for Commonwealth Day on the Monday.
