Overview

After finally managing to obtain tickets we arrived at Anfield in plenty time for the game, this was something I had always wanted to do and have to say it was a truly amazing experience. The Wheelchair tickets allowed me to have some one with we as it is referred to on the tickets a Perrsonal Assistance ( PA)

Transport & Parking

5

Anfield is around 4 miles away from the city centre however there are a number of ways to travel to the ground and there are regular buses on match days the buses used were all double deckers but Wheelchair accessible and Wheelchairs were given priority there are also trains from Liverpool Lime Street. There is also a large Car Park next to the stadium and you can find out more about these points on the Liverpool website.

Access

The tickets were for the Anfield Road lower Stnd this is an area just above the lower section with a fantastic view of the pitch. Once we reached the Turnstile which as a large door we were given a quick security check and then taken in the lift to the level our ticket were for . When we came out of the lift we found our self in a fast food/ Bar area. From this area you are only a few metres away from the Wheelchair area and the staff are always on hand to assist with doors and have Radar keys for toilets if you don't have one.

Toilets

There are There accessible toilets and a fantastic Changing Places facility these are next to the fast food area and they were all of a good size to allow wheelchair to turn etc with grip/ grab rails available

Staff

5

All of the staff we meet were extremely helpful friendly there are Fan support outside the stadium who can assist you in directing you to the area your ticket is for . The staff in the Wheelchair area were happy to introduce themselves and to assist you in anyway they could. There are staff available at the end of the game to assist wheelchair users into the lift and exit the stadium. This can take a few minutes due to the number number of wheelchair users in this area

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The game attend was against West Ham United and not many away fans present however this will be different from game to game

These are the people who can assist you with any questions you have before you enter the stadium
