Liverpool Football Club Stadium Tour

Visit date:

This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Hearing Aid, Walking Aid, Wheelchair

This tour is a must for any fan of Liverpool FC it includes areas that you can not see any other way including the dressing rooms and media areas as well as taking you on a journey through part of the clubs history and managers. You use a hand set and ear phones to navigate your self around the stadium there are numbers to indicate each location and staff are on hand to assist you if you require it. There is no rush on the tour you set your own pace you do however need to book a time slot to arrive as there are only so many spaces available in each slot

Transport & Parking

Parking is available at the ground and in the street's around the ground there is also a Taxi rank and a local tour bus that runs from Albert Dock Area to the ground at the gates to the stadium . A number of local buses also stop at the stadium or near to the stadium its self

The tour start point is just inside the gate of the stadium the area is level and there is no steps or ramps once inside the stadium and during the tour you visit the top of the main stand level 6 however wheelchair users and people with mobility problems can use the lifts through out the stadium and staff will be happy to organise this for you. When using the lifts staff meet you to direct you to the next area as the lifts does go of the tour route at times There is lots of wheelchair space available at all points during the tour even as you go along the side of the pitch. There are steps at the dug out but this is the only place you will find them at the end of the tour at the Kop Stand area you exit via a large door the staff will open this for you after you return the handset you keep the head phones

There are a number of wheelchair toilets through out the tour route these open with a radar key all had rails on both sides and room for a care giver. The club also have a Changing Places Facility while this is not directly on the route of the tour it is not far away should it be required staff can assist you in finding this should you require it

All of the staff from the start to the end of the tour are very warm friendly and make you welcome they will assist you as best they can and are happy to answer questions about the club and of course they will take photos for you in any area of the tour if you ask them

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The parking and public transport might be different on Match days however overall and looking at the number of wheelchair spaces available Liverpool Football club is interested in its disabled fans but also that of away fans who can also use the Changing places toilet if they require to do so.
