    Apollo Victoria Theatre

Apollo Victoria Theatre βœ… Clean, scooter fits - in fact a scooter AND manual chair fit together! ❓ Radar key required, but everyone just held the door for the next person/ staff on hand with key. Unsure if wheelchair was in there for storage reasons? πŸ€” Not sure how secure lock was? ❌ Cord slightly too short/ grab rail awkwardly close to the cord!

A Wicked experience at the theatre

A very good experience at the theatre when I visited on Disabled Access Day (DAD). The theatre had made a good effort of showcasing their facilities and making me feel welcome on DAD. The entrance was the only issue I had with the place. Wheelchairs are taken up the few steps by a ramp which is quite steep but the staff were excellent at making you feel at ease. Once we negotiated the entrance, everything was great. As it was DAD, they had a few props from the show that was on, which was Wicked. This allowed you to see at close hand and touch the props. There was even some actors wandering around in costume so you were able to see at close hand what the costumes were really like. The accessible toilets were a good size and the views from the wheelchair seats were fantastic as they showed us around everywhere.

    Treated like Royalty

Assist staff are excellent. They have set area's for wheelchairs, stand alone chairs if you need more room for whatever reason. Access to a disabled toilet. The member of staff helping me checked on me regularly to make sure I was comfortable, was there anything she could get me etc. I was treated very well and it made the whole evening a very enjoyable experience. There is a number to phone to arrange and more information on their website about what is available.
