    4 star city centre hotel with 304 bedrooms, including 4 accessible rooms. 11 meeting rooms that cater for 10 to 1500 guests. Cask Bar which serves Costa coffee and a great selection of craft beers including our bespoke CASK IPA created by Drygate Brewery. Bar menu served daily from 11am to 10pm. Brisket Restaurant serving local dishes with a twist, A la Carte and Market Menu available daily from 5.30pm. Juvenate Health & Lesiure Club with 14m swimming pool, steam and sauna. Fully equipped gym with cardio and free weights.

    Allocation of accessible room is seriously problematic

    This might be a beautiful hotel, all accessible, friendly, clean, comfortable. But there is a serious problem for anyone who wishes to have an accesible room. You can book it anyway you like, including in person and then confirming by phone but the room is not allocated until you check in and they see that you 'need' it. I wish I were joking. Because these rooms are available to book online it seems that they can be booked by anyone regardless of 'need' and the reception staff do the allocation on arrival. This is beyond awful. I cannot stay in a hotel when I cannot be guaranteed to have the accessible room I booked.

    Glasgow hotel

    The Doubletree by Hilton is the old hospitality Inn on Cambridge Street in Glasgow City center. I have been here many times for conferences etc.

    From the street to the main entrance, there is level access. The path is sloped. There is level access from the main entrance to: – Reception – Executive Lounge – Cask Bar – Juvenate Swimming Pool changing area – Juvenate Swimming Pool – Accessible Toilet Ground Floor (Reception) – Accessible Toilet Ground Floor (Ballroom Foyer) – Grand Ballroom (Ground Floor meeting space) – Robert Burns Suite (Ground floor meeting space) The main door is sliding and automatic. The door is 1400mm wide. We have 2 lifts, you can get a lift to all floors. The lift door is 1000mm wide. The lift is 1900mm wide. The lift is 1700mm deep. The lift says the floor number at each floor. The lift buttons have raised numbers or letters. The lift shows the floor number, at each floor.

    We have a car park. There are 7 accessible parking spaces. Parking is not free. From the car park to the entrance, there is a lift. The route is 1480mm wide, or more. Our car park is located underneath the hotel, it has two floors; Lower Ground (LG) and Basement (B). Its is barrier entry, when you arrive you take a ticket and park. It has space for 200 vehicles over the two floors. The price for parking is: Residents - £9.00 for overnight stay, at check-out please have your ticket ready to be validated at Reception. Conference delegates - £7.50 for max 10 hours. Please validate your ticket at Reception. Standard prices – Mon to Sat £2.30 p/h and all day Sunday £3.50 There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point does not have a dropped kerb.

The route is 2207mm wide, or more. • The toilet door is 852mm wide. • The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the front only. • There is 2426mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 470mm high. The toilets have handrails. Accessible Toilet Ground Floor (Ballroom Foyer) • There is a public toilet for disabled visitors. • From the main entrance to the public toilet, there is level access. The route is 1211mm wide, or more. • The toilet door is 852mm wide. • The direction of transfer onto the toilet is to the right. • There is 809mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 491mm high. The toilets have handrails.
