Overall Rating
Good
Level access from street to wheelchair accessible spots in the circle. As far as I'm aware there is no wheelchair access to any other part of the theatre. From the circle (first floor) you have a good view, but immediately in front of you is a walkway which has creaky floorboards (which does your head in if lots of people are popping in and out to the bar or toilet during the show!)
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
Parking & Transport
Good
Taxi rank immediately outside. Limited parking available (on double yellow lines with a blue badge) at Picardy Place car park.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
Accessible loo available inside the circle bar. Spacious with lots of grab rails.
Staff
Excellent
Very helpful.
Additional Information
It would be great if the Edinburgh Playhouse: (i) sorted out the creaky floorboards in the circle and (ii) invested in providing wheelchair access to the stalls.
