Mostly Accessible for wheelchair user
The entrance is step free.
The reception desk is at standing height with no lower section for those of short stature or using a wheelchair, however the staff are very helpful.
The accessible room is large enough to move in using a wheelchair and the wardrobe has a lowered section for hanging clothes. The bed is quite high, this is really difficult if you side transfer from a wheelchair but is good if you need to use a hoist as there is room for the legs to slide beneath the bed.
The wetroom is large with a wall mounted seat and drop down handrails. The main sink is set too high for easy use from a wheelchair, I was uable to reach the taps, the soap dispenser beside it and the mirror showed only the top half of my face. However, there is a 1/2 sized handbasin beside the toilet which I made do with and there is a full length mirror in the bedroom.
There is an emergency bell pull next to the bed and also next to the toilet. There is also a telephone in the room, beside the bed.
The self service breakfast area is good, all items are within reach for those using a wheelchair. The tables are quite close together, but there is room to manoeuvre at the quieter times. There are always staff on hand to help.
