Overall Rating
Good
There is an Exhibition area with a short film about how Heather Gems are made, then a viewing area where you can see the crafters actually working which is fantastic! The shop is bright and accessible, with a variety of gifts which we all enjoyed looking at the lovely colours , this is a good talking point and engaging for someone living with dementia. Prices are reasonable and usually have a sale section.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
The Heather Gems is full accessible all on the one level, no steps , plenty of room to move a wheelchair around.
Parking & Transport
Good
From the Main road you can drive right up and park right outside entrance. There are a couple of disabled spaces. All parking is free.
Accessible Toilets
0Doesn’t have toilets, as this is a shop with no Café , you can always go back over to Victoria’s the café across the road and use their toilet.
Staff
Good
Staff were friendly and helpful, suggesting options for our guests to buy.
