The Atholl Centre is situated behind the Baptist Church, slightly to the left, which is on the main road through Pitlochry. It is a charitable organisation offering residential accommodation and other easily accessible facilities. Approach it on the level footpath from the Atholl Road pavement.

OUTSTANDING CHANGING PLACES TOILET

I can honestly say this CPT is outstanding, you open the door and hit by freshness. I emailed the venue to say whoever cleans and looks after this should be praised. Has automatic rise/fall WHB which is fantastic. Changing bed that you could also shower in. Shower with chair to sit on and all important hoist. Loads of room to get around but all the little extras take it that bit further. Handmade soaps, toiletries and even new packs of pants for those little accidents lol. Can I also say, the woman Helen whom I communicated with was very accommodating. I had been in Pitlochry for Heartland Music Festival which I would never have been able to stay out all day had the CPT not been here. I`m now looking for them everywhere I go!

Disabled Access at The Atholl Centre

The wheelchair friendly main door gives entry to the reception area off which are the dining room and lounge. Access to the Changing Places Toilet, for the use of residents and non- residents, is on the left of the wide, gently sloping corridor leading from reception. (A mobile hoist is available for use in any of the rooms, if required.) Approach the three ground floor bedrooms with en suite wet rooms, available for B&B, from a passageway on the left of the main corridor. At the end of the corridor is the self-catering unit called the ‘Garden Chalet’. This unit contains 3 bedrooms with en suite wet rooms, kitchen with wheelchair accessible sink and hob, dining and a comfortable sitting area. The Chalet can also be entered via its own outside door at the back of the building. All group floor faclities are accessible to wheelchair users.

Toilets features at The Atholl Centre

The CPT is available to all visitors in the Centre. All the ground floor en suite toilets are fully accesible for wheelchair use. There are no steps into the toilet facilities on the ground floor.

Changing Places toilet

There is a Changing Places toilet, which includes an adult-size changing bench, toilet, sink and hoist.

Accessible toilet

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.

Hoist

A mobile, gantry or ceiling-track hoist is available for use in at least one wheelchair-accessible bedroom.

Wet room

There is a wheelchair-accessible wet room with a step-free, roll-in shower and accessible features.
