A pleasant shopping experience

I am a disabled person and a carer or friend of a disabled person and a general supporter of disabled access. I have experience of challenges around: a hidden impairment, accessing toilets, dexterity or coordination and moving around.
Overall Rating
Excellent
Easy, step-free access to a store big enough to use a wheelchair very easily. The aisles are wide enough to turn a mobility scooter around in and although most items are easy to reach from a wheelchair, some items like vinyl records were more difficult to reach as they were too high and deep in the boxes they were stored in.
Disabled Access In and Around

I did not notice any seating around the store, however there are seating areas outside the shop, a short distance away. The shop itself is easily accessed at all points, with a step-free entrance and being single level.

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
As HMV is located in The Quadrant shopping centre it has links to the bus station, taxi ranks, a short walk from Swansea train station, drop-off areas, on-street parking and a multi-story carpark attached to the building. The majority of the shopping centre is step-free so access from travel links to the store is fairly easy.

Accessible Toilets
There are no toilets available in the HMV store itself, however there are toilet facilities available a short distance away which can be accessed via stairs or a lift.
Staff
I did not engage with any staff on this visit, however there seemed to be plenty of them and they appeared to be friendly and happy to help customers with their shopping.
