Liverpool ONE

The Q-Park Liverpool ONE is the main car park for the Liverpool ONE retail and entertainment district in the centre of Liverpool. According to their website, this car park has 1900 parking spaces, including 81 accessible parking spaces and 31 EV charging bays. It has a height restriction of 2.10 metres, is open 24/7 and is a paid car park. The EV charging bays have charging stations operated by Blink. Each bay has its own charging point and then there are terminals to pay that are split into groups of bays which are numbered 1-31. The bays seemed to be a standard size, and if they were all full then it’s likely that there wouldn’t be the same space you might find in an accessible parking space. However, because there were so many bays, and most of them empty, it would have been easy to find a spot with empty spaces around on the day I visited. There are three accessible toilets in the Tourist Information Centre in Liverpool ONE. There are payment barriers to access the toilets but if you speak to a member of staff and ask to use the accessible toilets they will be able to let you in for free. There is a left- and right-side transfer toilet and a Changing Places toilet.

I liked how it was all level-access and there was plenty of room to get about. There were plenty of lifts and escalators for accessibility. I liked the fact that all of the shops were visible through clear glass, with wide doors and aisles. I was disappointed with the signage, as it wasn't very clear. The shopmoblity is shut on a Tuesday, so this is something to note if you are planning to visit the shopping centre and require this assistance. Also to note, you need to pay 30p to use the toilets- it is not clear if this is for accessible toilets as well. There is an accessible changing space on the site.
