A boat will ferry you to one of Scotland's oldest castles, where Mary Queen of Scots spent a traumatic year. Probably built in the early 1300s, it was said to have been visited by Robert the Bruce during the Wars of Independence. Seats on the passenger boat are limited, so we recommend booking in advance to guarantee entry. When booking tickets you will pick a boat departure time which will show on your email confirmation. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure. 1 Apr to 30 Sept: Daily, 10am to 4.30pm (last outward sailing 3.30pm) 1 to 31 Oct: Daily, 10am to 3pm (last outward sailing 2pm) 1 Nov to 31 Mar: Closed
