Overview

Access was fine overall. I didn’t check the accessible toilets, so I can’t comment on those. There’s a heavy front door, but when a staff member saw me arriving, they immediately came over to help, which was appreciated. Worth noting: it’s cash only, and this isn’t indicated on the menu. My friend had to make a last-minute dash to a nearby ATM. The food was excellent, the chicken dish I had was fantastic, and my friend had good gluten-free options. No complaints at all on the food front!

Transport & Parking

3.5

Being in the city centre, it’s not the easiest place to park, but public transport is solid. You’ll find plenty of bus stops and train links nearby, which make getting there straightforward without a car.

Access

There’s a barely-noticeable slope at the entrance but the main barrier is the heavy glass door, which pulls outward and could be awkward if you’re on your own. Luckily, I was spotted and helped right away. Inside, it’s quite dimly lit. It adds to the atmosphere, but if you have any visual access needs, this might make reading menus a bit more challenging. It was fine for me, but worth bearing in mind. It can get quite loud, but we were in a quiet area of the restaurant, which meant it didn't get chaotic.

Toilets

Unfortunately, I didn’t check the accessible toilet during my visit. I believe the ladies’ toilets are down a flight of stairs, so if that’s the only option, it might not be step-free.

Staff

3.5

Staff were friendly at the door and helpful in some ways. For example, opening the front door and letting us know we’d need to leave by 7pm, which was fair given we hadn’t booked. However, the service overall felt a bit rushed. We were asked for drinks as soon as we sat down and felt hurried throughout. Then, near 6:45pm when we were ready to leave, we tried to catch the attention of multiple staff members to pay, and suddenly no one seemed to notice us. The restaurant wasn’t busy at that point, which made it all feel slightly dismissive. Not terrible, just a bit of a strange rhythm to the service.
