MBNA Thames Clippers are the fastest & most frequent fleet on the river with departures from major London piers every 20 minutes. Our services stretch from Putney to Royal Arsenal Woolwich, and we cater for all, from early morning commuters to families wanting a day out on the river. You can buy Single, Return and Roamer tickets (for all day, hop-on, hop-off travel) with Travelcard, Freedom Pass and Child discounts available.

A horrible experience for wheelchair users

Rude staff, gaslighting from staff, insulting and discriminatory wheelchair space provision - a really horrible experience. NOT recommended for wheelchair users.

An unusual way to travel

I didn't expect to be able to travel on the Thames River Bus as water and wheelchairs usually don't mix well together! It was great to find I could get on board with my powerchair.

Disabled Access at MBNA Thames Clippers

All of our boats are wheelchair and pram accessible by ramp. We can have a maximum of four wheelchairs on our larger boats and can accommodate a further three folding wheelchairs. Electronic wheelchairs are also welcome. Members of our Mobility Scooter Recognition Scheme are able to bring their mobility scooters on board. Please note that the London Bridge City, Wandsworth Riverside Quarter and Cadogan piers are not accessible. Toilets features at MBNA Thames Clippers

All boats except the Star, Storm and Sky Clippers have accessible toilets. These small boats are mainly used for the RB6 Putney route or the RB2 Tate to Tate and would rarely be used on our main central London RB1 route. The Sun, Moon and Typhoon class clippers are the larger vessels used on the RB1 route and they have disabled toilets. Their size and door dimensions are: Sun and Moon clippers 1510mm (wall with door) x 1650mm Door width 860mm Typhoon Class 1560mm (wall with door) x 1710m

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
