Venue Description

Sandcastle Waterpark is the UK’s Largest Indoor Waterpark and with over 18 slides and attractions. In the 840 tropical climate there is truly something to entertain the whole family. Featuring two new Aztec themed slides, which launch from the waterpark’s roof, venturing outside and then back into the building. Montazooma is a mat slide with 3600 loops and back to back turns and Aztec Falls involves a dark descent into an electrifying bowl. Both slides are included within the Hyperzone Wristband price. Guests over 18 can take time out to relax in the Sea Breeze Spa, which features a Steam Room, Sauna, Salt Inhalation Room, Aromatherapy Room, Foot Spas, Ice Feature and Heated Loungers. The newest addition to Sandcastle Waterpark is the exclusive Tiki Cabana. This is a private area overlooking the waterpark, which is available to hire for the entire day. Features include a hot tub, flat screen TV, complimentary mini bar, plus more.

Accessibility

Sandcastle Waterpark has many facilities available for guests with disabilities. These include accessible toilets, lowered reception desks, wide obstacle free gangways, induction loops at each till point, fully accessible pools within the waterpark with slow sloping gradient access, pool accessible wheelchairs, water ambassadors in the water, accessible changing room facilities including a hoist in our new gold standard wet room, wet room inside the waterpark with dedicated lockers, fully equipped first aid and treatment room, adult changing bed, specially designed floatation devices & more. In 2017 we have introduced a new range of facilities and Information to assist guests in planning a visit to our Waterpark: NEW - Accessible pages on our website NEW - Sandcastle Waterpark Story - A planning guide for guests with Autism NEW - Top Tip for guests with Autism NEW - Silent starts - The first hour of each day in our Waterpark is our "quiet" hour - no music played and no announcements made. NEW - Queue by-pass facility for tubes and mats - This reduces the queuing time on some of our most popular rides. NEW - Quiet/Sensory Room - The first Indoor Waterpark in the World with it's own quiet/sensory room.

Accessible Performances

Sandcastle Waterpark offers a year round program of Accessible Evenings. These evenings are designed to offer quality family leisure time to guests with disability and additional needs. Numbers are capped to ensure no queues on our slides and attractions, there is no audio played during these sessions and our team of Water Ambassadors are on hand to assist wherever needed to ensure our guests have a great evening.

Toilets

Accessible toilets with wide gangway available in the waterpark, Mall area and all changing rooms. There are also toilets within our two wet rooms situated around the waterpark.

Staff

We have a number of Access For All Ambassadors on site should you require any assistance. these members of the team have extra skills including: RLSS training for guests with disabilities, First Aid, Water Therapy Session training, Disability Awareness training and a member of staff trained in British sign language. Most recently our team members have undergone training to assist guests with Autism during their visit.

We have areas within our building where assistance dogs can relax whilst their owners are in the Waterpark. Our team members are happy to exercise assistance dogs on the adjacent promenade at the guidance of their owners.
