I use or have experience of: mobility scooter, walking aid
Overall Rating
Bad
Very poor disability provision
Disabled Access In and Around
Poor
The pavements around the venue seldom have dropped curbs, though the entrance itself is flat. During the show, I was unable to see the stage due to everyone standing around me. There is a raised platform...but it is up a set of stairs. You cannot make this up.
Parking & Transport
Average
I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
Very little disabled parking or even non-disabled nearby, a small car park next door and a few spaces on the street. I ended up parking down the next road where dropped pavements were very poor.
Accessible facilities: Public or on street parking
Accessible Toilets
Bad
No disabled toilets. I was told to use the main toilets with no disability provision, which are located on the right hand side. We ended up on the left and there was such a crush of people that when I needed the toilet I ended up leaving the venue to use the travel urinal in my car.
Staff
Bad
Rude and unhelpful. When I entered the venue, the gruff guy scanning tickets asked if I could climb stairs...while sat in my mobility scooter. Later, we asked another staff member if there was a disabled toilet. He answered no, shrugged and said "good luck mate." No staff members offered any support.
