Good accommodation with on site parking

This is excellent value for money, less than half the price of similar rooms at the Holiday Inn near the Mayflower Cruise Terminal. As a powered wheelchair user I find the room spacious and comfortable. I was able to charge my wheelchair in the room and slept well. The room was not air conditioned but had a tabletop fan that was adequate even during a heat wave. The window opened but early morning traffic collecting commercial waste could be heard. During our one night stay the wheelchair lift at the front entrance was out of order which meant I had to use the free for blue badge private underground car park entrance door. Although it had a keypad it was not operational and the door heavy to open in the wheelchair. A tight corridor led to the compact lift to another door to enter reception. Thankfully I was not alone so had help with the doors and luggage otherwise it would have been a challenge too far. Reception is high level so not easy but the staff were very helpful. Then the reason for my review score of 4 and not higher. The room was on the top floor and although evacuation chairs were located by the lift I didn't feel confident that staff would be available if needed. Getting from reception and the restaurant to the room meant waiting for the lift and the having to negotiate small corridors and tight corners with more doors to open. Too many doors and no chance in your own with luggage. Breakfast was self service buffet including cooked items. Would I go back again? Yes simply on price and the very close proximity to the city centre shops and entertainment areas. Great value and at half the price of the Holiday Inn and Da Vinci you can't go wrong. I stayed overnight before a cruise, having stayed previously at the Holiday Inn, I'm glad I booked this accommodation.
