Red Funnel was formed in 1861 as the ‘Original Isle of Wight ferry operator’. Today, we carry 3.4M passengers and 860,000 vehicles across the Solent each year. The Company operates 365 days a year, with 30,000 sailings between Southampton on the UK mainland and East and West Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Our fleet consists of modern purpose-built Ro-Pax vehicle ferries and Red Jet Hi-Speed passenger catamarans. Catering and retail services are provided in-house.

Accessible, clean, well-equipped toilet

This toilet is to the right of the ticket office in the Red Funnel Red Jet terminal on the Town Quay. There are disabled parking bays on the quay. These are not free parking. Access to the toilet requires a Radar key. The toilet is very spacious with a hoist, changing bed and adjustable height sink as well as adapted toilet. Very clean at the time of use.

Staff can not do enough to help

Have used Red Funnel for years. In the last few years they have excelled themselves with staff who are very knowledgeable and helpful. You need to tell them you are disabled (specify if you are in a wheelchair) at check in and they will ensure you are put on near the lifts and staff will ensure a path is left to and from your car. Disabled friendly once on board.
