Overview

Although very busy and a bit noisy for my tastes, the pub has great access and were incredibly helpful. The food was excellent. I was well enough to go in on foot with my wheeled walker, but wrote the review with an eye to visiting in a wheelchair. I booked a table expecting to have my chair.

Transport & Parking

You would need to drive here I'd imagine. There's a big car park with two blue badge spaces. These were helpfully by the door. The car park is firmly surfaced and level but there's a small but steep ramp up to the patio which was tricky for my walker. Not a major issue, just something to be aware of and take your time with.

Access

The patio paving in front of the main door was very uneven in a few places so take care on foot. As I approached the front door a staff member immediately opened the double doors for me which was very helpful. The floor was level, apart from the small threshold at the door (easy to see). There are no steps. Inside, transitions between carpet and smoothe flooring have clear safety strips to reduce trip hazards. There was plenty of room to move about inside even though it was busy. When i booked a table in the bar I was helpfully asked if I would like to stay in my wheelchair or transfer.

There is a disabled loo adjacent to the main loos. It has a sign on the door though it's not visible from the main seating area. It is spacious and well equipped. The door is easy to lock and open. The loo has a push button flush which is trickier than a lever but it's a minor issue. It was a shame to find the alarm cord tied up out if the way - otherwise it would have been five stars.

Staff

Helpful and accommodating when I booked - told me everything I needed to know. Staff member quick to assist with doors on way in and out.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Suggest you reserve a table at busy periods. I saw at least two other disabled people in there including someone in a full size mobility scooter.
