    About

The four galleries display some of the treasures from the University's collection of over 112,000 artefacts in an interactive and atmospheric setting. There is also a ‘Learning Loft’ and a viewing terrace with panoramic views over St Andrews Bay. A changing exhibition space also means there is something new to see every time you come in! Enjoy the stunning view from the terrace, or pop in to one of our workshops or events for families and adults. Scotland's Oldest University

Tucked away in the same street as the castle, this little gem of a museum tells the history of St Andrews University, which was founded in 1413. Interesting displays in all the four galleries, which are all on the ground floor. A roof terrace provides stunning views across St Andrews Bay to the distant Angus hills. Staff have done an excellent job in making the museum accessible to all. Well worth a visit.
