Overall Rating
Excellent
Zest Cafe is a social enterprise that focuses on supporting those with barriers to employment by giving them employment opportunities. I spent a fews months at Zest on placement learning about marketing and social media. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and, whilst I am not a coffee drinker, I can appreciate how hard the staff work to ensure that the coffee they serve is of the highest quality. The staff are extremely passionate and knowledgable about what they do and and that is really lovely to see. As a wheelchair user, the venue was easy to access and disabled toilet is spacious to.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
The large doors at the entrance make for easy access and are kept open thoughout the day. The cafe is spacious with a ramp leading to the back of the cafe where the toilets are. The ramp isn't too steap and so it is pretty easy to wheel up if you are in a manual chair. The chairs in the cafe can be easily moved to allow space for a wheelchair.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
On street parking available and free for blue badge holders. Plenty of spaces in front of the cafe and in the surounding area.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
There is a disabled toilet in the ladies which you get to by going through two doors. The loo is clean and spacious and has rails and an accessible sink.
Staff
Excellent
Staff are extremely helpful and hardworking. They are really passionate about providing a good service and making sure costumers have a positive experience.
Additional Information
I would definitely recommend Zest Cafe to people. The the food and drinks are great, the staff work so hard and I think the opportunities they give to people with barriers to employment is amazing. So if all businesses could take a look at what Zest do and copy them, that would just be marvelous!
