Crieff Hydro - where to begin? The heart of Perthshire. Miles away from everyday. OK. So our main entrance isn’t quite a magic portal – but it might as well be. Glide through the door at Crieff Hydro and you’re shrugging off the everyday, into a world where everything is just right. Like Narnia without the white witch. You can choose to stay in the hotel or self-catering. Both come with a 900-acre back garden to explore. We have more activities than you can shake a stick at - everything from our bowling green to our mountain bike track, from our indoor swimming pools to our quad bike and 4x4 quarry. We've even got an aerial assualt course - Aloft! And the best part? Many of our activities can be adapted so that they're accessible to anyone and everyone. Inside there's six restaurants and four bars to choose from. So, our dish of the day - choice. And lots of it.

Great place for a few days

Warm and friendly hotel with very good access in the front door and around the hotel. This was made special by the helpfulness of the staff who went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed.

Fully accessible zipslide at Crieff Hydro

fully accessible zipslide for the thrill seekers (not me, I was doing it for charity)! The team skill fully moved me from my power chair into a harness and into a quad bike supporting me at all sides as the quad bike moved. The quad bike took me to a 45 foot tree where I was manually hoisted to the top (unlike my poor wife who had to climb the 45 foot tree)! Throughout all of this I was talked through every step of the way, being reassured at every point. But let’s face it I was up a 45 foot tree with only one way down! The zipslide itself was terrifying but very professionally handled. I was skillfully caught at the bottom and returned to the quad bike then reunited with my power chair.

Disabled Access at Crieff Hydro

The vast majority of our hotel is fully accessible - the entrance certainly is and we have lifts in place (both normal and one platform) that mean you can easily access 4 out of our five restaurants found within the hotel. The fifth one you can access via ramps (which includes a short mystery tour of our back of house - it's not ideal but it's all in the name of freshly baked pizza!). Our sixth restaurant, located up near our activity centre, Action Glen, is also accessible via ramps. Many of our activities can be adapted - get in touch with us to find out more. We have both hotel rooms and self-catering accommodation that are fully accessible and have fully accessible en-suite bathrooms. As well as some rooms with hoists. Accessible parking at Crieff Hydro

We have masses of car parking space - including disabled parking which is located a 30 second (level) walk from our main reception. There's also a drop off point right outside the door which you might prefer before going to park - it's totally up to you. If you require any assistance just nip in and speak to our Reception team and they'll organise someone to come right out and give you a hand. Our self-catering accommodation also comes with it's own designated parking spaces per unit. All parking is totally free. Crieff town centre also has 3 or 4 different areas with disabled parking, charges can apply and can vary depending on the car park, time of day etc.

We have accessible toilets with step free access that have plenty of space, grab bars and changing bench.
