Excellent

We were looking for a small independent place to stay for our wedding anniversary and contacted Ciaran to see how accessible their B&B is. I was given accurate measurements and informed that there is a ramp available but that none of their rooms were specifically adapted for a wheelchair user. Our room "Daisy" was spacious, ample room to manoeuvre and the en-suite cavernous - door widths over 850mm. Our stay was exceptional and the hosts could not have been more helpful. On my return home I left feedback and some recommendations should they ever refurbish the en-suite because it could easily be an exemplary accessible stay by changing the shower enclosure and vanity unit, and by introducing a few grab handles, signage etc We will definitely return, I need another Irish breakfast!

Disabled Access In and Around

Good

The property has a small step entrance but the host has a removable ramp which was in place upon arrival. Large French doors open to allow the larges of mobility equipment to enter. There is a dog leg in the corridor from the breakfast room to the ground floor suites but my manual wheelchair fitted easily.

Parking & Transport

Excellent

Ample parking with a compressed gravel drive that my manual wheelchair sailed across.

Accessible Toilets

Good

Daisy room had a large en-suite and the toilet was easily accessible. No grab rails.

Staff

Excellent

Super-hosts and nothing was too much trouble
