London Eye

On a recent visit to London as a wheelchair user I found the majority of London streets & pavements were very wheelchair friendly & easily accessible. We visited the London Eye & had a great experience. My husband got the tickets while I waited & viewed the Thames & river traffic. I paid for my ticket & my husband got for free as my carer/companion. After being on the London Eye we had chips in the cafe, I was easily placed at a suitable table with staff being very considerate. The whole visit was an enjoyable experience.

Visited in my wheelchair. Staff couid not have more helpful, even stopped the wheel momentarily to I could get on after they put a foldable ramp down, got the same at the exit. I knocked half a point off as I couldn’t hear the commentary and there was no loop. My hearing companion said I didn’t miss much!

Very easy access, ramo to the wheel was not too steep, pods are stopped to allow wheelchairs/mobility impaired access, staff are competent in safely using the ramp.
