The Meadows Festival is a volunteer-run music and community festival that happens in June in the Meadows park in Edinburgh. The park is lined with food stalls, charity stands and thrift shop/car boot tables to browse plus a funfair. Most of the festival is grassy, but the grass is kept short and is great to sit on when the weather is dry. I particularly enjoyed the dog show this year! Access is quite good in the Meadows, however a few of the food stalls are in vans which have very high counters. If the weather was bad and the grass was quite wet, it might become trickier to cross some of the grassier parts of the Meadows.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
When the weather is dry access is good at this festival. The grassy space in front of the music stages are very spacious so there are no large crowds to make your way through, and you can always get a good view of the performers. While some of the food vendors serve from vans with high counters, many food stalls are standing out of their vehicles to serve tasty dishes. The dog show had low transparent fencing around the arena meaning that everybody could see the talented pets give the course a go. There are also large tents to find some shade if the sun is too hot.
Parking & Transport

There are various car parks and on street parking in the university area beside the Meadows. Plenty buses pass by on the main roads and there are wide smooth paths connecting all entrances and exits to the park. Watch out for cyclists!
Accessible Toilets
0I saw lots of toilets at this festival but didn't use any so can't comment. There are I believe RADAR key operated accessible loos in the Meadows, and there are also toilets in the nearby university buildings.

Excellent
All volunteers at this festival were very friendly and enthusiastic. It's clearly something they care about and they all seemed happy to help!
