Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre is an eco friendly building overlooking Pitlochry's iconic Fish Ladder and River Tummel. Within the centre there is a Cafe, a gift shop and an exhibition which includes interactive games and a short film about the dam and the Fish Ladder

A good trip for people with dementia, beautiful views from the cafe and best of all its free!

The centre its self, has a few interactive attractions, you can also view the Salmon. The café has beautiful views of Tummel river and woodland. The Dam has a few steps up, the person we were with(wheelchair) was able to walk up the steps- but this part would not be suitable if permanently in wheelchair. Overall a good trip for people with dementia and free.

New visitor centre bringing the Dam to all!

If you are like me and think the Pitlochry Dam is beautiful you are in for a treat! This is the perfect place to view the Dam, learn a bit more about it's history and of course, sit back relax with a coffee!

Disabled Access at Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre

The automatic doors give easy access to the building and this entrance leads directly to the wheelchair friendly shop, café and start of the Exhibition. Toilets are also on this floor, including easy access with grab rails and alarm. A lift serves the lower floor for the main Exhibition area with interactive computer games, exhibits and a short film – all on the one level. There is also a toilet on this floor, with easy access, grab rails and alarm. The Meeting Rooms on this level are also wheelchair friendly.
