Overview

I have often been to this venue in the past but not since becoming disabled. I phoned ahead to book one of their off road mobility scooters, and informed them then I would need it brought to the car. The staff and volunteers were incredibly helpful. Since the venue has been redesigned and developed it is now completely accessible. Including a changing places toilet and ramp (wheelchair not scooter) to cafe.

Transport & Parking

At least 5 disabled parking spaces available in car park nearest to entrance. But note it is a 100m walk from there (uneven path) to the buildings. Could be done in a manual wheelchair, power chair or scooter on a dry day. Not sure if it was wet or muddy.

Access

Once at the venue itself it is fully accessible. Doors have push buttons, to be used by everyone. Full changing places toilet. Ramp to cafe. Ramp to the loch wildlife trails. The only area which is not and can't be made accessible is the nature trail and path up hill.

Toilets

Changing places toilet. The other accessible toilet was out of order. Clearer signage may help as it looks like it's ONLY disabled toilets in corridor when in fact they are individual toilet cubicles for all to use.

Staff

Excellent, friendly and helpful staff and volunteers. Made sure I had the scooter brought to and from car. Opened doors for me (as harder to do push button from large scooter). Found me a seat in shop when required.
