The most over the top Christmassy place in Edinburgh

I go here with my assistant around Christmas every year. Literally, the most Christmassy place ever Lift to the left of steps Ok for wheelchairs But super popular. I book when booking opens in February/March! No chance if you wait until winter. There is a permanent queue but you can only queue for drinks at the bar,, not a table £46 for 3 courses or £56 for 3 High quality food

The Dome Edinburgh, Great Day Out.

Meeting with all my girlfriends to celebrate a sixtieth. Great accesss into main dining area "the Grill". I was able to request a lighter fork to help me eat, as I have a shoulder injury. The table was a great height to allow me to get right into the table with my wheelchair. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing.

The Dome, George St accessible toilet

On the plus side, the loo is massive - loads of space and amenities well laid out. On the negative side, you need an access ramp to avoid half a dozen steps to get in (unfortunately the ramp was out of order) and once inside there's a heavy door to access the facilities. The toilet door itself opens onwards, and the lock is a wee bit high. All features good, although the emergency chord (which is white, rather than red) doesn't quite reach the floor and is a good few feet away from the toilet. Other than that, a luxury toilet experience awaits!
