Trengwainton Tearooms

My friend and I enjoyed venturing round the gardens. I used my mobility scooter and my friend walked. The paths proved accessible with some gravel and grass but the dry day made it navigable. Seeing the rare plants, pond and walled garden was very enjoyable as was the view of the private house across the lawn.

Award winning wheelchair accessible tea rooms with friendly helpful staff. Has a range of hot dishes, sandwiches, cakes and ice creams including gluten free dishes and bread, and jam suitable for diabetics so you can still have a cream tea. See National Trust website for opening hours and season which is longer in Cornwall than elsewhere. Inside and outside tables. Very obliging and friendly staff who will provide extra facilities, e.g. I have to have a chair with arms. Can be crowded but possible to book.
