Places to visit and things to do
WheelieSte sent us one of his recent reviews of the Mill coffee house in Bolton. He gives a good description of the facilities available in the café including accessible parking spaces and also good public transport links as the bus stops outside. The café is a great place to catch up with friends or somewhere to sit if you want to do some work. Thank you WheelieSte for your review we look forward to reading more of your reviews soon.
Tinkerbell21 Threave Gardens and Estate. Giving her visit 4.5 stars she had a great visit but found the paths a bit of a struggle without help. She has also added some fantastic photographs of the gardens and the flowers that she saw. It sounds like it's well worth a visit if you have help. Thank you, Tinkerbell21 for your awesome first review we look forward to following your next adventure.
Dystrophydad Euan’s Guide Community Manager Joe visited Belfast City Hall and highlights the rich history of the hall as well as some of the access features including Changing Places Toilet, automatic doors at the entrance and a ramped entrance. There are public transport links to the City Hall and three accessible parking spaces which must be booked in advance.
Accessible accommodation
Paula_Clake wrote her first review when she visited Double Gate Farm Bed and Breakfast. The accessible bedroom and en suite bathroom had plenty of room to move around. Debbie the owner is very helpful and welcoming to any guests who need extra support. Four friends were able to enjoy an accessible weekend away together thank you Paula for your first review. We look forward to your next one!
New reviewer Bex had a fantastic experience at the Gleneagles Townhouse Hotel Edinbugh. Bex was impressed that the hotel is a listed building but has a platform lift built into the stonework! Each floor has an accessible toilet including the rooftop terrace. Even the staff were really helpful and supportive. “From start to finish all the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and I was treated with great respect and consideration.” A fantastic example of access for everyone.

Kempster66 highly recommends the RealFood Cafe in Tyndrum. She went for lunch with friends and gave her visit five stars. She recommends trying her favourite dish: “The fish chowder, chips and seaweed soda bread is my fave. Their fish and chips is award winning. The cakes look great.”
MollyC visited Lucky Cat the Gordon Ramsay cookery school in London. She visited first in March to celebrate her wedding anniversary and then in April to take part in a cookery class. The restaurant has a helpful online booking system where you can outline any access requirements you might have. Molly also mentions how helpful and supportive the staff were and made every effort to make sure she felt comfortable and included.
