All Saints Station: DLR line New
Visit date:
Overview
This is a DLR station with two platforms where you can get DLR trains to Stratford and Canary Wharf. The station is above ground so it’s located outside although there are some sections of both platforms that have canopies to provide some cover. Access to this station is from street level which is higher than the platforms. Lifts and stairs provide access to each platform. This is an unmanned station so there aren’t any ticket barriers but there are points to tap in. There are also some ticket machines based in the entryway before you go down to the platforms. The entrance to the station is from the street with step-free access. There are two sets of stairs and corresponding lifts to each platform with signage to show which trains stop at each platform. The lifts have tactile buttons, a hearing loop and are fairly spacious. Although there was some very bizarre blue lighting going on… I felt like I was at a crime scene! When you’re on the platform there is tactile paving and a painted yellow line to highlight where the edge of the platform is. There is also some seating available on each platform. Once the train arrives there is a small gap between the train and the platform but it’s manageable for those on wheels to still get on and off with ease.
Transport & Parking
There are four bus stops near the station, the distance to these stops from the station entrance ranges from 130 to 240 metres from the entrance. The buses serving these stops are: 15, 108, 115, D6, D7, D8, N15 and N551. There isn’t any parking that is connected to the station but there are some parking options available nearby that are connected to other local businesses. It’s unclear what the parking restrictions might be or what the accessible parking is like.
Access
The entryway is level with the street when you approach the station. There are two platforms available at this station and there is a staircase and a lift to each platform. The signs in the entrance will highlight which way to go to get the train you want. The lifts to each platform have tactile buttons and are fairly spacious. There was some odd blue lighting though! It was marked that the lifts also have hearing loops but it wasn’t clear if this was available throughout the station. I also didn’t see any other alternative formats in use. Tactile paving marks the edge of each platform and there are some covered sections and some seating on each platform. The gap between the train and the platform when it arrives is small and manageable for those on wheels.

Staff
This is an unmanned station so there isn’t a member of staff on site. If you needed help you can use the information points on the platforms.
