    About

Langdon Park DLR Station is a modern transport hub situated in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. This station provides a key connection for residents and visitors travelling through East London, filling a significant gap between the All Saints and Devons Road stations. Located near the Teviot and Lansbury housing estates, the station offers a practical link for commuters and those looking to explore the local area, including the adjacent Langdon Park.

The station was designed to be accessible from street level, featuring a pedestrian bridge that connects to the platforms. This footbridge is equipped with separate lift shafts at either end to provide step-free access to the station. These lifts are intended to assist passengers navigating between the street and the platform levels, supporting a more inclusive travel experience for those with diverse access requirements throughout the rail network.

Broken lifts so only able to travel in one direction

Located right next to a park, this was quite a picturesque station. There were some metal structures on each side of the station as well which complemented the surroundings. There were two platforms, Platform 2 was directly connected to the street just outside the station. Platform 1 seemed like you had to access it via an overpass. There were stairs up to the overpass and a lift, but the lift wasn’t working when I travelled to this station. Platform 1 had services to Stratford and Platform 2 had services to Canary Wharf. The DLR trains stop level with the platform with only a very small gap between the train and the platform. This means you can board and disembark step-free without the need for a boarding ramp. This is an unmanned station.
