Located next to the wonderful Stanley Park, the Zoo is situated in 37 acres of spacious, mature parkland with lakes, waterfalls and traditional English woodland. From Aardvarks to Zebras, all your favourites are here –elephants, big cats, giraffes, the north’s only gorillas, orangutans, penguins, meerkats, wolves, and one of the UK’s Best Sea Lion Demonstration. There is also a magnificent array of birds of every colour and size! You can learn about these incredible species and many more during our regular talks, feeds and displays.
