The Edinburgh Dungeon is a unique visitor attraction that brings together an amazing cast of theatrical actors, special effects, stages, scenes and rides in a truly unique and exciting walkthrough experience that you see, hear, touch, smell and feel. It's hilarious fun and sometimes a bit scary. Your 80 minute journey will take you through 1000 years of Scotland's dark history. Guided by a full cast of actors, you and your companions walk through The Dungeon, moving from show to show. Shows are based on real Scottish history (minus the boring bits).

Disabled Access at The Edinburgh Dungeon

There is a lift to the right of our main entrance, with a call function located just outside the main door. The lift is operated by a key so guests requiring lift access should press the call button for assistance. A member of staff will attend and operate the lift. Please note that due to fire evacuation requirements, we can only accommodate one wheelchair user at any one time. Tours last around 80 minutes.

Toilets features at The Edinburgh Dungeon

The accessible toilet is suitable for wheelchair users however those with mobility scooters may struggle. It features grab rails and easy-to-use taps.
