The Red Barn is self-catering accommodation in a beautiful, unspoiled valley in Rookley, Isle of Wight, offering full accessibility inside and out, together with electric profiling beds, wet rooms and lots of equipment for our disabled visitors. Any extra equipment, together with the hire of a hot tub, can be hired locally on a weekly basis. Just let us know what you need.

Anyone interested in wildlife or photography will enjoy the red squirrels which come to feed just outside the door. Our disabled guests will find almost everything they need, but we’ve taken great care to focus on comfort, warmth and providing a beautiful, luxurious environment, which does not look like a medical facility. Disabled Access at The Red Barn

The Red Barn is fully accessible throughout, both inside and out from the moment you park your vehicle on the large, level concrete parking area directly outside the main, double doors. All living accommodation is level and accessible - including terrace, gardens and barbecue area. Widened doorways within the building allowing easy access to bedrooms and wet rooms.

Yes. Two wet rooms. Both have wheel-in showers. One with hoist friendly bath and fold down changing/showering table with extending shower hoses at both ends.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
